Day 2: Mindless – Catacombs
Double Challenge combined prompts #Drawlloweentober2019

Today drawing is almost a dreamy scene with soft tones of darkness, evoking elements that brings together the two prompts Mindless and Catacombs with a hint of Victorian – Gothic style. I made the drawing in brown ink with a final touch of watercolor and like for day 1 I wrote another quote that complete the drawing. I hope it will speak to you ❤

Supplies used for my Ink drawing ink pens used COPIC Multiliner Black ink #03 and 05, Micron dark red ink #, brown #003. Fountain Pen Pilot Prera Fine Nib. Alvin Draft/Matic pencil #03 Limited Edition Pink Mab Graves. A dash of watercolor, I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle, Pentel Aqua Brush – I painted on a Moleskine Sketchbook.

Every year in October since 2009, artists all over the world take on the InkTober drawing challenge created by Illustrator Jake Parker by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. (read my previous post) Other amazing artists have created their own challenges during October. This Year I will Join two amazing challenges InkTober and Drawlloween is a little more spoocky Halloween themed created and hosted on Instagram by Pop Surrealist artist Mab Graves! I will create my daily drawings inspired by the combination of the two Challenges daily prompt words and I have combined the names creating my own challenge “DrawllooweenTober” yes this is my plan to be able to join and drawing daily for both amazing challenges at the same time, if you like to join me use also hashtag #drawlloweentober2019

If you don’t know what Inktober is, let me tell you a little about it! Inktober is a wonderful worldwide art challenge happening every year during the month of October. It was created in 2009 by illustrator Jake Parker as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year. Participating artists create 31 ink drawings for 31 days sharing their daily work online on social media, groups and websites. There is a huge participation to this successful event, thousands of artist around the world join this challenge every year, it’s amazing! I have participated creating my Inktober series since 2016. Coming soon the new official prompts list for the 2019! I am so curious to see the list and what I will create this year!
