About Me

My Creative Journeys…

Carolina Oct2022 copyGreetings, I’m Carolina, the artistic force behind “Carolina Russo Art.” Originally hailing from Naples, Italy, I’ve called Southern California home since 2002. I extend a warm welcome to you as you explore my world of creativity and artistry.

My upbringing in Italy fostered a deep appreciation for art, history, and Mediterranean traditions. Surrounded by my father’s captivating oil paintings, I developed an early passion for creating and knew that artistry would be my life’s path. After studying Art & Jewelry Design in Italy, my journey led me to embrace various forms of expression, including watercolor painting, illustration, digital art, fashion, and jewelry design.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve continually evolved my passions, exploring new mediums and techniques. While watercolor painting remains my primary focus, I also enjoy acrylics, inks, illustrations, eco printing, mixed media and much more. As an intuitive painter, I’m drawn to the fluidity, transparency, and elegance of watercolors, allowing experimentation and exploration to guide my artistic endeavors.

My artistic inspirations are deeply rooted in nature, reflected in my love for painting landscapes, seascapes and mystical figures. Sketching with watercolors and ink intertwines with my interests in fashion, jewelry design, and illustration, resulting in a diverse portfolio that showcases myriad expressions of my soul.

“What brings me joy is inspiring others through my art, evoking emotions that resonate deeply with the heart and soul.”

I am also a certified Usui Reiki Master, trained in the ancient Japanese healing art of Reiki. Reiki is a holistic healing technique that channels universal life force energy to promote balance, relaxation, and overall well-being. In my artistic practice, I harness the power of Reiki energy to infuse my artworks with a profound sense of intention and healing. Each piece carries not only my creative expression but also the subtle vibrations of Reiki energy, offering viewers a transformative and uplifting experience.”

At the core of my artistic mission is a desire to bring joy, inspiration, and emotional resonance to others through my creations. Each piece I craft is infused with my heart and soul, lovingly packaged and signed before making its way to you.

I’m excited to share my latest collection of work, available as original paintings and limited edition fine art prints. Additionally, I offer hand-enhanced and Reiki infused prints to provide a unique touch to each piece.

Your support as an independent, full-time artist means the world to me and fuels my passion for creating. Whether you’re browsing my shops or seeking a custom commission, I’m here to make your experience unforgettable.

  1. What a gorgeous blog you have, very lovely! I used to enjoy buying jewelry when I was young…and had money 🙂 Are you familiar with the designer Judith Jack?–she worked in sterling silver–beautiful pieces.

  2. “I always loved to design what I was feeling…”

“Each item I design it is special and unique, has a piece of my own story and background.”

I felt so touched.I remembered a quote which said-“An artist’s autobiography is embedded in his artwork” Indeed. 🙂

  3. It’s easy to forget what an amazing gift life really is. Our lives are nothing but a cosmic blink. Even our seemingly all-encompassing world is just tiny blue dot circling an average sized star spiraling around a galaxy of 200-400 billion stars, which itself is just one galaxy among billions more. Yet for one brief moment, we get to experience the wonders of existence, of consciousness. You are Very Skilled already There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.

  6. Wow. You are one talented lady Carolina. Love your work. When I was in the military I was in Italy many times. Love that country! The architecture is beyond impressive. Favorite places there for me are Rome, Vatican City and Brindisi. How can you not be inspired with art when you have been there. My passion is wood working, but that said I LOVE to paint as well. I have been absent with it for over 30 years, but now I’m back. Hope you have a second to visit my blog and see. All the best….Kevin

  7. Thanks for visiting and liking my blog Carolina. I did visit the doodlewash link above. It’s a great read. You mentioned being inspired by your father. For me it was my mother. She was an awesome artist in her day. Now, that I have started painting again I find myself looking at things differently again. A leaf or tree or sky captures my interest more. You look at the world differently. I don’t know if that is universal for all artists, but it is for me. Keep up the great work! Kevin

  13. Do ever lose your creativity,

    it’s like being a childlike

an not forgetting how to play…

Nature never forgets how to play,

    just watch any

    animal around you…

Tiss a quick blink, a shy wink an a soft wet kiss place gently upon your forehead…
