About Me

My Creative Journeys…

Carolina Oct2022 copyHi, I am Carolina!  The Artist behind “Carolina Russo Art”.
I was born in Naples Italy and now I am located in USA, Southern California since the year 2002. I am very happy to welcome you to my world and let you discover my Art and creativity. I was born and raised in beautiful Italy, the country where I have been surrounded by amazing art, creativity, history, Mediterranean traditions and European influences. My parents are there. My father is an artist. I grew up observing and being amazed by his creativity and beautiful oil paintings. I knew since I was a child that I wanted to create and be an artist. I enjoyed drawing, coloring and creating all things hand-made I am grateful that my parents supported my talent. In Italy, I studied Art & Jewelry Design. I am passionate for watercolor painting, illustration, digital art, photography, fashion and jewelry design. I love to write Poems “when they come to me like whispers in my mind”. I love nature it is my primary source of inspiration. I like to paint landscapes and seascapes. I have been following my heart and path, believing in myself and that anything is possible if you truly believe in it.
During the past 25 years, I evolved in my passions, experiencing my artistic visions and taught myself other skills and art forms such as Eco Art Printing, Digital Art and Photography and more. My primary medium is Watercolor painting, it came into my life very naturally. I never took any watercolor class, I just started painting with passion, experimented with the medium and loved it. I also enjoy acrylics, inks illustrations and mixed media, but my favorite is watercolor. I am an intuitive painter I love the fluidity, transparency and elegance of this beautiful medium. Experimentation with different media, exploring new techniques is something that I always loved to do. I like to delve into the horizons of my creativity, open new doors and see where it will take me.
My passion for sketching using watercolors and ink comes with the love for fashion, jewelry design and illustration. You will see my work in a variety of mediums in a multitude of expressions of my soul!

“What makes me happy, is to give happiness and inspire people through my Art, give feelings to the heart and deep to the soul!”

  1. What a gorgeous blog you have, very lovely! I used to enjoy buying jewelry when I was young…and had money 🙂 Are you familiar with the designer Judith Jack?–she worked in sterling silver–beautiful pieces.

  2. “I always loved to design what I was feeling…”

“Each item I design it is special and unique, has a piece of my own story and background.”

I felt so touched.I remembered a quote which said-“An artist’s autobiography is embedded in his artwork” Indeed. 🙂

  3. It’s easy to forget what an amazing gift life really is. Our lives are nothing but a cosmic blink. Even our seemingly all-encompassing world is just tiny blue dot circling an average sized star spiraling around a galaxy of 200-400 billion stars, which itself is just one galaxy among billions more. Yet for one brief moment, we get to experience the wonders of existence, of consciousness. You are Very Skilled already There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.

  6. Wow. You are one talented lady Carolina. Love your work. When I was in the military I was in Italy many times. Love that country! The architecture is beyond impressive. Favorite places there for me are Rome, Vatican City and Brindisi. How can you not be inspired with art when you have been there. My passion is wood working, but that said I LOVE to paint as well. I have been absent with it for over 30 years, but now I’m back. Hope you have a second to visit my blog and see. All the best….Kevin

  7. Thanks for visiting and liking my blog Carolina. I did visit the doodlewash link above. It’s a great read. You mentioned being inspired by your father. For me it was my mother. She was an awesome artist in her day. Now, that I have started painting again I find myself looking at things differently again. A leaf or tree or sky captures my interest more. You look at the world differently. I don’t know if that is universal for all artists, but it is for me. Keep up the great work! Kevin

  13. Do ever lose your creativity,

    it’s like being a childlike

an not forgetting how to play…

Nature never forgets how to play,

    just watch any

    animal around you…

Tiss a quick blink, a shy wink an a soft wet kiss place gently upon your forehead…
