Today thanks to James Graham singer of “The Twilight Sad” that shared this video on social media. I came across to this “Stunning” Cover of the Abba song S.O.S I love this cover very much, everything is just right. I love that is slow and the music is played beautifully giving to this song more depth in a unique moody way. This cover make me like this song way more thanks to Porthishead! You know by now that I love music and I have a specific taste, I thought I wanted to share this video with you!
What do you think? Let me know! I love your comments!

S.O.S.
Where are those happy days they seem to hard to find?
I try to reach for you. but you have closed my mind
Whatever happened to our love? I wish I understood
It used to be so nice. It used to be so good
So when you’re near me, darling, can’t you hear me S.O.S.?
The love you gave me. nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?
You seem so far away though you are standing near
You made me feel alive but something died I fear
I really tried to make it out. I wish I understood
What happened to our love? It used to be so good
So when you’re near me, darling, can’t you hear me S.O.S.?
The love you gave me. nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?

I was fresh out of high school when Dummy was released. That album and Portishead’s following work left some serious fingerprints on me…
What a stellar cover! And #MoreInCommon: A message the whole world would do well to embrace right now.

Yeah! It is great because is really different and has a complete different atmosphere from the original, to be honest I think this version give way more intensity that’s why I love it! I never been a great fan of the Abba but of course their songs were very popular and I know them but wasn’t the type of music I have been attracted growing up! Now Portishead give a great interpretation of this song! I like it a lot! I am happy Erika that you like it! ❤

I love the dark energy that surges through each bar of this song. A completely different take on the song, with a decided edge to it that was absent in the original. Thanks for sharing, Carolina!

I agree is a completely different take and the edgy and moodiness with a slow pace give to this song something really special that was totally absent in the original! Happy they did it!

This is amazing and I heard it for the first time from the movie they made it for: Highrise – the scenes it covers in the movie reflect the music perfectly…fell in love with it Instantly. I couldn’t find it anywhere to download though so thanks for sharing!
It’s not released anywhere – it’s not even on the movie soundtrack.
