I cannot believe we are already in November, where the time goes?
Here in US where I live the weather still warm and feels not really Fall, is actually more of a “Summer” weather and is nice to spend outdoors evenings until last. These days we’re having intense sunsets in Southern California. Yesterday on my evening walk I took this video, for you to see the beauty and feel the magic of the sky! The intense color was overwhelming! What a great gift from nature! I am happy I was able to witness this sunset and capture this video. I love to share it with you, in hope to brighten your day where ever you are!
Note: No edit were made on the video, no filter, the colors are just as I took it with my iPhone!
Last November I have collaborated with the Rigna Folk creating a video displaying a selection of my recent paintings having as soundtrack one of their beautiful songs.
If you follow me maybe you remember my Blog post, if you are new you can read it here:
Today I am very happy to share this video – Slide Show that I have created! I love how it turned out and I hope that you all like it!

A special Thank you, goes to the Band RiGNA FOLK for the great idea and suggestion to me, to create this video as combination of their music with my art. And I am honored that they let me use their beautiful music as soundtrack to my paintings! Thank you so much Viktor Nordir.
Who follows me for longer time knows that I love music, but also that I have a very specific and not so commercial taste and I love to introduce you with the bands I like or discover! I also have posted here on the Blog experiences attending live concerts, Interviews with independent artists and videos! I like to use my Art collaborating with music artists. I have created paintings and portraits dedicated to music artists as Fan Art! My collection is named “Art For Music” as an independent artist myself, I love when we can support each other or I can support someone else dream.
This video happened magically while replying each other comments on Instagram!
Viktor, frontmen of the band had this idea, while commenting on my recent paintings and I found it to be a awesome idea that I had to bring it alive!
I think the song I chose is “Zone II” from their album “Astropolis” and it match greatly with my Art.
On the Rigna Folk website you can read their Blog Post about this: Collaboration with two artists from the US and Macedonia
RiGNA FOLK is a band from Germany, we follow each other from a while now, I love their music and they love my art! I think is beautiful to cross paths!
RiGNA FOLK
They are a great indie band! I love their alternative, post rock music “Rigna Folk is a band that creates a parallel world. A rainy, dreamy world that, supported by music, is constantly changing and expanding: sound-painting like Sigur Rós, pictorially like Pink Floyd, as experimental as Radiohead”. They produced several Albums and their discography is growing more with a coming very soon new album!
Recently they performed a great cover “David Bowie, Space Oddity song” you can find it on their YouTube channel!
If you like this music genre, I really suggest you to check their music out!
Today post is dedicated to Music!
I am sharing a great video featuring one of my favorite and inspiring bands from nowadays “The Twilight Sad” performing live on KEXP Seattle last March 2015. This is a wonderful live full performance to watch if you don’t know this band or if you want to know more about their great music. I love these guys they are humble, passionate in what they are doing and amazing!
Their music is unique and intense, they deliver great sounds and dark nostalgic atmospheres. It is a magical combination with the beautiful voice of charismatic and intense singer James Graham front man of Scottish post-punk band. At the moment The Twilight Sad are the “Special Guests” and opening band for the iconic “The Cure” on all the dates of their 2016 North American and European Tour. The Cure couldn’t make a better choice bringing The Twilight Sad out in the light for an exposure very well deserved. They are an outstanding band that is rising up in our contemporary music culture. Last May I was fortunate to be able to attend The Cure Concert in Los Angeles where The Twilight Sad opened with an awesome performance. I was also lucky and happy to meet James Graham in person 😉 If you haven’t, you can read my detailed post with photos and videos of my fantastic experience attending The Cure Concert at The Hollywood Bowl.
The North American Tour ended beautifully leaving amazing and unforgettable memories.
Right now The Twilight Sad will have two appearances in UK one on the 27 of August at the “Electric Fields Festival” and one September 10 at “Bestival“!
The European Tour start in October first date in Helsinki -Finland, check out all the Tour Dates. If you like this music don’t miss them live. 😉
Today thanks to James Graham singer of “The Twilight Sad” that shared this video on social media. I came across to this “Stunning” Cover of the Abba song S.O.S I love this cover very much, everything is just right. I love that is slow and the music is played beautifully giving to this song more depth in a unique moody way. This cover make me like this song way more thanks to Porthishead! You know by now that I love music and I have a specific taste, I thought I wanted to share this video with you!
What do you think? Let me know! I love your comments!
Where are those happy days they seem to hard to find?
I try to reach for you. but you have closed my mind
Whatever happened to our love? I wish I understood
It used to be so nice. It used to be so good
So when you’re near me, darling, can’t you hear me S.O.S.?
The love you gave me. nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?
You seem so far away though you are standing near
You made me feel alive but something died I fear
I really tried to make it out. I wish I understood
What happened to our love? It used to be so good
So when you’re near me, darling, can’t you hear me S.O.S.?
The love you gave me. nothing else can save me, S.O.S.
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?
When you’re gone, how can I even try to go on?
When you’re gone though I try how can I carry on?

I am very proud to be able to say that “I Was There“ attending this amazing and for me unforgettable Pink Floyd Concert. That night on July 12th 1988 Stadium Flaminio in Rome Italy, my native country! I witnessed a magical and a unique experience and a piece of music history like no other!
I am glad I found this YouTube clip of sadly it doesn’t show the magnificence of the stage and band that I have seen there, you will see nice images of Rome while listening the great live sound recorded that night of the beautiful song Shine on you crazy diamond! Just hearing the first notes I felt goosebumps like I was there again! I wanted to share this memory with you and a piece of my life experience that I will never forget!
I hope that you enjoy with me the great music reading the lyric!
-Carolina
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (I-V)
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught in the crossfire of childhood and stardom, blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine! You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
