Last November I have collaborated with the Rigna Folk creating a video displaying a selection of my recent paintings having as soundtrack one of their beautiful songs.

Who follows me for longer time knows that I love music, but also that I have a very specific and not so commercial taste and I love to introduce you with the bands I like or discover! I also have posted here on the Blog experiences attending live concerts, Interviews with independent artists and videos! I like to use my Art collaborating with music artists. I have created paintings and portraits dedicated to music artists as Fan Art! My collection is named “Art For Music” as an independent artist myself, I love when we can support each other or I can support someone else dream.
This video happened magically while replying each other comments on Instagram!
Viktor, frontmen of the band had this idea, while commenting on my recent paintings and I found it to be a awesome idea that I had to bring it alive!
I think the song I chose is “Zone II” from their album “Astropolis” and it match greatly with my Art.

RiGNA FOLK is a band from Germany, we follow each other from a while now, I love their music and they love my art! I think is beautiful to cross paths!

They are a great indie band! I love their alternative, post rock music “Rigna Folk is a band that creates a parallel world. A rainy, dreamy world that, supported by music, is constantly changing and expanding: sound-painting like Sigur Rós, pictorially like Pink Floyd, as experimental as Radiohead”. They produced several Albums and their discography is growing more with a coming very soon new album!
Recently they performed a great cover “David Bowie, Space Oddity song” you can find it on their YouTube channel!

This is my latest watercolor painting just finished yesterday and launched on Instagram @carolinarussoart, it is my artistic version of character Miss “Wednesday Addams” created in my signature style of watercolor and inks!
My painting is inspired by Wednesday Friday Addams a fictional character created by American cartoonist Charles Addams in his comic strip The Addams Family, first appeared in 1938 on The New Yorker cartoon. The character has also appeared in television and film, in both the live action and animated formats.
Artists around the world like to portray this intriguing character creating beautiful Fan-Art artworks in their own style! So here is mine!

Today painting, it is another off prompt my title is “Introspection” I painted a realistic eye to symbolize the given title Introspection which means “to look inside,” and describes the act of thinking about your own actions or inner thoughts. Time after time I like to look back at my old watercolor paintings. I like to see how much my art change and my skills grow during the years! Recently I came across this painting that I made in 2013 around this time of the year. It is almost four years ago and I like to re-share it with you all. This painting is very dear to me because is a view of “Venice” Venezia in Italian, it is one beautiful city in Italy, my native country! It is a view of Venice that I just painted out of my visual memory without any photo reference. It is a loose watercolor, I remember I was practicing the loose technique so hard to master! I know there is a lot that I could’ve done better, it was a fast painting and somehow, I am pleased with how this painting turned out! I think I was able to capture the feeling and essence of Venice. If you have been to Venice then maybe you recognize this view. I wasn’t born in Venice it’s not my hometown. I was born in Naples another beautiful city on the sea. That’s why I love the ocean so much and I love to paint water, there is something about water that it is so inspiring to me in many ways, artistically and not. I like the reflections and the colors. I often base my palette on the beautiful range of colors of the sea. The sea and the ocean are very often captured also in my photography!
