Happy February! ❤
Today painting is about a portrait that I am working on. What you see is a work in progress. That’s why I only posted a small section of the face just to anticipate what I am working on. This is a portrait inspired by the words of a beautiful song. I will post it when is completed and I will add the words that inspired me. The portrait Is in black and white and gray, no colors, another limited palette between wash and ink.
Details about my watercolors:
This watercolor painting is outlined with a black ink Copic Multiliner #003 pen. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box Ink fountain pen used is a black ink Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib and a Pentel Poket Brush. I painted on a 9 x 11 inches mixed media sketchbook.

Just a quick thought, do you use sktchy app……just because you are so good at faces, if not do take a look at their site, v inspirational 😀

Thank you Becky I take this as a great compliment. No actually I don’t use sktchy I haven’t downloaded on my iphone. Most of the time I create the faces without photo reference I just create them. But sometimes I look at some photos just to get the inspiration going. This one is inspired by a photo that a friend of mine posted with the verses of the song. 😉 ❤ You're doing very well at faces I see you having fun! Keep going!

Yes but in my plan was to write in words the specific sentence from the song handwritten on the portrait like a quote but I am afraid to do that because the Copyright! Of course I will credit it to The Cure but I don’t know I guess you need a permission! So maybe I will finish the portrait and add the words in my post! 😦 ❤

What if you ask them? Only a thought…. you have nothing to lose and if they don’t want it you can still add it to the post only!
