    1. Thank you Mark for asking, yes there is a meaning behind it! The horse head represents “Kelpie” which is a Mythical creature part of Folklore and beliefs in Scotland. “Kelpie, or water kelpie, is the Scots name given to a shape-shifting water Spirit inhabiting the lochs and pools of Scotland. It has usually been described as appearing as a horse, but is able to adopt human form“. That’s why I included the woman as symbol of his human form. The symbol on her forehead just came to me while drawing, I would like to know what the Universe is telling me and what it represents. It just appeared in my mind. I am sure means something powerful! Today the two prompts for the challenge were “Ancient and Kelpie” that’s why I combined the horse and the ancient stones existing in Scotland. 🙂

      1. Thank you dear lady, for some reason that mark on her forehead ‘jumped out’. Either that or I was picking it up from you. Interesting! And then I noticed the swirl on the horse so I thought maybe there was more to it. I shall look up Kelpie, maybe there is a message for me there 😀
Thank you, looking forward to more drawings my friend 😀

      2. Interesting! And yes the spiral symbol on the horse has a meaning. The Spiral is a sacred symbol that represents the journey and change of life as it unfolds; taking a labyrinth-like passage that leads to Source. The spiral symbol can represent the consciousness of nature beginning from its center expanding outwardly. It’s a great symbol! 🙂
