Day #9 World Watercolor Month 2020

#WorldWatercolorMonth2020 Day 9
Today I like to talk a little bit about the creative process of this painting and how evolved. The painting started just as pure energy, I had no plan of what to paint so I was free. I started with a wash of colors on wet paper, I just let the colors bleed with the water, you can see my work in progress in the photo below. Until then I didn’t know yet what would be the end result, I took time observing the colors and the soft shapes then I started working with my ink pen creating fine lines, free hand no pencil sketch and a beautiful Peonias flower appeared.

Details about my watercolor paintings:
I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle, Pentel Aqua Brush – I painted on Bee Paper for watercolor 140lb, 100% cotton, cold pressed, size 6×9 inches . Outline with Micron pen Red ink #01.
