INKTOBER 2022 Official Prompt Lists

Inktober 2022

InkTober 2022 is coming soon!
And it means that artists around the world will participate to this great and inspiring drawing challenge.  I have participated to InkTober Challenge for the past 6 years Usually I have followed the Official prompt lists combined with another of my favorite October challenges working on the two challenges in one, combining the prompts! Indeed very challenging to do it grows and test your skills. This year I am not sure I will participate I have several projects in mind! Maybe I will draw some of the prompts here and there!

Jake Parker the illustrator and creator of InkTober  released the new “Official Prompt List 2022” I am happy to post it here so that you have some time until October 1st to plan your challenge and get ready!

Here is the INKTOBER Story and Rrules:
Illustrator Jake Parker is the creator of this great challenge and initiative started in October 2009. Jake created InkTober as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. It has since grown into a worldwide endeavor with thousands of artists taking on the challenge every year. Here are the Official Rules:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it*
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2022
4) Repeat

That’s it! Now go make something beautiful.
Visit Jake Parker website for more details, videos, inspiration and lots to learn about InkTober.  If you like to join these challenges don’t forget when you post your drawing online always add the hashtags #INKTOBER2022  #INKTOBER  post your ink drawing online on your Blog and/or on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter…add all the tags to any place you share your drawings online!

Some of my Favorite Supplies:
I use  French Artists Watercolors  Sennelier  l’Aguarelle,   Pentel Aqua Brush – Bee Paper for Watercolor 140lb, 100% cotton, cold pressed, size 6×9 inches . Micron or COPIC pens Black, Brown, Dark Red inks #01, #005, White SAKURA Gelly Roll pen, Pentel Pocket Brush blak ink, ALVIN Mab Graves Draft/Matic Pencils , Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks.
(FYI This is not a sponsored post I have no affiliation with any of these brands. I purchase all my supplies and I am only sharing what I like and use)

Good luck to everyone joining InkTober 2022
There is plenty of time to prepare yourself! I honestly during the past 6 years I never planned or worked any sketch in advance it didn’t resonated with me because the goal of this challenge for me was to improvise and get creative and inspired day by day!  I only got my supplies ready in advance! But that’s just me! Do what is the best and resonates for you and most importantly have fun and create!
Please if you do participate share your plans or ideas I would love to read! If you’re a beginner or not and have any questions leave it in the comment section I would be happy to respond!

Have a great weekend!

Thank You!

Fields and Waters: Misty Stream

Misty Stream_s

Welcome September!
This post will feature my two new paintings created during this week they are included in my new watercolor series.  This is “Misty Stream” a moody landscape with beautiful colors combined with a hue of purple and a light touch of gold.  I am really happy with it!
I am currently working on a Collection of small intuitive watercolor paintings named “Fields and Waters” if you missed my previous blog post, you can read all about this upcoming Collection here
Today I like to share an up to date little video gallery I made, where you can see all the paintings created until now but the latest seascape which I will post it down below! I hope you enjoy!

Fields and Waters is a Collection of intuitive and meditative art that soothe the soul of the viewer through delicate colors emitting feelings of harmony.
This series is inspired by the calming beauty found around us in nature. I am focusing mostly on landscapes and seascapes using two very important and powerful elements Water and Earth.

Living The Now_s
This seascape is the latest I painted. The title is “Living The Now” size 3×9 inches. I like the unusual paper size, I have another paper same size ready to paint a landscape!
Each Original painting of this series is unique and painted on a beautiful deckled edges 100% Cotton watercolor paper, hand cut and torn by me. In my opinion the raw edges adds a beautiful touch to this Collection.
I am painting this whole series mainly with a painting palette knife and a couple round brushes. Each painting is very special to me.

❤ Upon release all the Original paintings would be available for purchase.
Original paintings are size 3×4.5 and 4.5×6 and 3×9 inches
If you have any question or would like to “Reserve” any of the Original paintings before the Official Release date, please send me a message for more details.

❤ Limited Edition fine art Giclee prints would be available!
