To all my American followers and friends and to everyone that celebrate this day! Wishing you a beautiful and peaceful day filled with joy, celebration, and cherished moments with loved ones. May your day sparkle brightly!
This old painting is a favorite of mine, and I love sharing it with you every year on this special day.
Today was last day of this wonderful World Watercolor Month. The prompt is “Do Over” I painted this same rose already once and I did it again. A rose is a subject in painting that if you like to paint flowers you will paint it over and over! I hope that you enjoyed to follow this month challenge, I thank you very much for your support and love for my art, it means so much to me! Thank you I haven’t painted 31 paintings this year, I have been busy, but I was able to paint a variety of subjects from landscapes, seascapes, flowers, animals, and mystic ones. I hope you resonated with them! I guess you did, from your lovely comments! Thank you, of course I am not stopping here, painting isn’t my hobby is my living! I will keep painting, I am so grateful that I have a nice commission painting that I need to do soon. I will share it with you when Is done and received. Stay tuned for more art! ❤

Today painting is inspired by one of the beautiful birds I see once in a while here in California, is the “California Scrub Jay” it has a beautiful blue color and often is mistaken for the “Blue Jay” which is another specie. The Scrub Jay is a nonmigratory bird and can be seen also in urban areas. I see it sometime in my backyard, it is a pretty big bird and is always nice to watch whenever shows up! Here there is a photo of this beauty. About today prompt “Complementary” and this painting, I think that us humans and animals are complementary we won’t be the same without animals ❤

Day 13 of the challenge I have been busy in the past days and I had no time to create a new painting. Today I have managed to paint this lovely round seascape outlined in ink! The Title is The Paceful Sea do you feel the peace of this place? I do. As you see I like to paint on different shapes of paper I did cut this one round I think looks nice.

Today I like to talk a little bit about the creative process of this painting and how evolved. The painting started just as pure energy, I had no plan of what to paint so I was free. I started with a wash of colors on wet paper, I just let the colors bleed with the water, you can see my work in progress in the photo below. Until then I didn’t know yet what would be the end result, I took time observing the colors and the soft shapes then I started working with my ink pen creating fine lines, free hand no pencil sketch and a beautiful Peonias flower appeared.

All my watercolor paintings for the World Watercolor Month 2020 would be available for pre-order as Limited Edition Fine Art Prints hand signed Prints and maybe some Originals too.
