Jewels from the ocean…

When I was in Italy I grow up in a City that has a beautiful Gulf on the Mediterranean Sea. I could see the sea from my balcony at home. I have been always fascinated by the changing colors during the four Seasons. The sea is an element that is intimately linked with my life and identity.
My watercolor paintings and Illustrations are very often inspired from beautiful seascapes, the movement and reflection of the water, the colors I use in my Art. I love the dramatic light of oceans in storm, beautiful beaches and sunsets, including boats and harbours, ocean waves and rocky outcrops, misty landscapes, as well as beautiful underwaters fauna and flora. I love to search and look for natural found objects on the shore. There are many fascinating pieces, natural treasures that I collect.
Each piece bring me unique inspirations knowing they had many years, maybe thousands of years of underwater life before I found them, and use it as “Masterpieces” for my Jewelry designs. In my Portfolio several jewelry creations are made with unique natural treasures found by me walking on Earth.
Many of my designs are inspired by the ocean nature. I had a custom request to match a “Bracelet” to an existent set of Necklace and Earrings that I previously designed made with a fossil seashell, Mediterranean Red Coral and handmade enamel ceramic beads.
This is the existing set…
Earrings are made out of silver plated copper wire and Red Coral. The whole set has almost the same shape.
The necklace…hold a wire work round shape and hanging charms. One is a piece of a fossil seashell found in California part of my collection. Red Coral and an handmade enamel ceramic bead. The necklace has an adjustable knotted waxed cord that allow different lenghts.
My new design is the “Bracelet” created with similar elements to match the other two pieces, with the addition of Mother of pearls beads.
This set all together looks beautiful and my customer was very happy!
