Embracing the Magic of Winter: My 12-Day Winter Draw Challenge (Part 2)

Hello again,

The 12-Day Winter Draw Challenge has officially come to an end yesterday on December 12, and I couldn’t be happier to have completed it. This journey has been a beautiful exploration of winter’s magic, and I’m thrilled to share the final six drawings with you.

Each of the 12 pieces in my Winter Draw Challenge beautifully captures the essence of the winter and festive season, weaving delicate details with vivid storytelling. Each prompt drew inspiration from the season’s magic, embracing everything from its serene beauty to its joyful celebrations. Here are the final six creations:

Day 6: Letter
With this drawing I wanted to capture the feeling of heartfelt love reading a special letter from a loved one being far away during the holidays. The delicate color palette and the color blue is to show the feeling of melancholy for that precise moment of missing someone.
Day 7: Feast
She is my Christmas colorful Fairy preparing the stockings and wearing a beautiful Poinsettia flower dress! She is charming and brings feeling of happiness and joy!
Day 8: Owl
I love Owls they symbolize intuition, wisdom, mystery, intelligence and protection!
Day 9: Advent
The four weeks of Advent are a time for preparation and introspection a time of reflection within yourself and in this drawing I wanted to capture all of this and the four themes of Hope, Peace, Love and Joy!
Day 10: Oranges
I loved to create her ornate with old fashion dry oranges traditions
Day 11: Ivy. Day 12: Candlelight. (Combined prompts)
For last two days I combined the two prompts into one drawing. The beautiful Ivy head pieces and the candles. The two girls represents sisters or sisterhood!

Completing this challenge was both inspiring and rewarding, each year is a beautiful time. I’m so grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received throughout this creative journey it’s truly meant the world to me.

Well sorry for not posting yesterday I had so much going on 🥰 and I decided to create this four prompts combination creating two drawings in one! I have combined the two days prompts and they worked out pretty good all together I hope you like my “The Moon” Tarot card and my magic Witch floating in a snow falling sky. I am sure that you can spot a pattern too and some witchy symbols, good ones not bad ones! Check my Instagram to see my short video so you can see all the gold and details! Here 🖤

(read my previous post) Other amazing artists have created their own challenges during October. This Year I will Join two amazing challenges InkTober and Drawlloween is a little more spoocky Halloween themed created and hosted on Instagram by Pop Surrealist artist Mab Graves! I will create my daily drawings inspired by the combination of the two Challenges daily prompt words and I have combined the names creating my own challenge “DrawllooweenTober” yes this is my plan to be able to join and drawing daily for both amazing challenges at the same time, if you like to join me use also hashtag #drawlloweentober2019

Welcome December!

Hello everyone today is the first day of December and it is snowing on my Blog! ❤

I love snow but living in Southern California is quite impossible from my location ito have snow unless I go up to the mountains when it’s snowing there.
So… I have to pretend to enjoy a peaceful snowfall and have it on my Blog! ❤ LOL

This month there are some nice watercolor painting challenges starting today! I hope to find the time to join one of them like I did last year, I am thinking at the “12 Days” Challenge hosted on Instagram and Facebook by The Bad Apple Artists Collective

Holidays ART – Last paintings for the 15 Days Of Wintmas!

These are my last three paintings for my Holidays Art Collection and Wintmas Challenges! Today I am posting Days #12, 13 and 14

I am so happy about this collection of mini Christmas themed watercolor paintings and how they turned out I had great 15 days of creativity. I am thankful for the response I got from the people that follow my journey and love my art. I had beautiful comments and encouragement. Thank you all for following this month challenges. After Christmas I will start some new and very interesting projects I will talk about it later on.

All these are small watercolor paintings, they all have beautiful touches of silver or gold ink to it! You cannot really see it in photos because it is very difficult to photograph the sparkly glitter of the ink but the effect is beautiful! On my Instagram posts sometimes I add little videos and there you can see the gold and silver.

For day #15 instead of creating a painting I have posted a photo of my paintings collection as the prompt was “The Magic Of Wintmas”

These mini paintings are all beautiful and a collectible series that will bring the magic of Christmas in any home ❤

My Ink drawing is outlined with ink pens. Pentel Pocket Brush black ink. Ink pens used COPIC Multiliner Black ink #03 and 05, Micron dark red ink #1, Sakura Gold and Silver Gelly Roll Pens or Gold Touch Calligrapher pen. A Alvin Draft/Matic #03 Limited Edition Pink Mab Graves Pencil. I use French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle, Pentel Aqua Brush – I painted on Bee Paper for watercolor 140lb, 100% cotton, cold pressed, approx. size 4.5 ×5.75 inches.

Holidays ART – More of The 15 Days Of Wintmas!

few more more days of paintings for the Holidays Art Collection and Wintmas Challenges!

Today is December 16, the two challenges are ended and I have painted daily! I just haven’t had the time to post here daily, but I did on my Instagram.

– March Challenge: Paint What You Love!

Today prompt list for the monthly challenge at doodlewash is “WARM” I am joining in.

Today the word warm made me think at many of you out there that still have snow lately (you know I love snow!) I have seen via social media lots of snow here in US, in other States than where I am, which is sunny and a little bit too much warm now for the season, over 80 degree feels like Summer during day time, especially this week. The weather has been little crazy playing hot and cool after the needed rain we had two weeks ago. Seems next week we will cool down!
Today painting is more of a cute illustration and is inspired by the latest snow, and my little girl need to keep warm! This is a quick one that I sketched very fast on my Hobonichi Planner!

Details about my watercolors:
watercolors are outlined with black pens. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box Ink pens used Pigma Micron Black ink #02 and a black ink Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib. I painted on a Hobonichi Planner (Japan) over Tomoe River paper a very thin, lightweight paper great for fountain pens and not so wet watercolors.
