December Art Challenge, the Prompt List is here! 
This is a follow up to my previous Post about the Annual “12 Day Winter Draw” Art Challenge hosted on Instagram by my artists friends. @nomkinnearking @adamoehlers and @natachachohraart The challenge will start next week on the Day 12 and ends the 24. This is the Prompt List that was just posted today on the Challenge host’s accounts and so like I have anticipated I am sharing it here too!  I hope you will  join us and me here doing this beautiful 12 days of Christmas theme art.  Share your drawings, using the hashtag #12daywinterdraw    you can follow  along my posts and tag me on Instagram @carolinarussoart or link your blog post to me! This challenge is mainly shared on Instagram but it doesn’t matter we can share it here on the Blogs too! Enjoy these magical days of beautiful creativity open your heart and just have fun create anything you love. Now get ready with your watercolors, pencils, pens, paints, inks or anything you work with and enjoy creating!

Hello everyone December is here!
This month there is one of my favorite art challenges the annual 12 Day Winter Draw hosted on Instagram by my wonderful artists friends @nomkinnearking @adamoehlers and @natachachohraart This year the challenge will start on the 12th of December. I love Winter Christmas themed art. I have joined this event in the past years. I plan to join again this year as much as I can! These “Polar Bears” is one of my watercolor paintings from a previous year of this challenge!

If you would like to join, share your drawings, using the hashtag #12daywinterdraw the theme for Day 1 the 12th will be ‘The Night Before Christmas’.
The complete prompt list would be shared by the host group sometimes soon and I will post it here too!

If you want to play along, or just join me doing this challenge you can follow  along my posts and tag me if you create anything! Also the challenge is mainly shared on Instagram but doesn’t matter it can be shared also here on the Blogs, just have fun create. These  Art challenges are a great way to be inspired to create new work, to spice up your creativity and to work on your skills and rise the habit to paint or drawing daily.

Welcome December!

Hello everyone today is the first day of December and it is snowing on my Blog! ❤

I love snow but living in Southern California is quite impossible from my location ito have snow unless I go up to the mountains when it’s snowing there.
So… I have to pretend to enjoy a peaceful snowfall and have it on my Blog! ❤ LOL

This month there are some nice watercolor painting challenges starting today! I hope to find the time to join one of them like I did last year, I am thinking at the   “12 Days” Challenge hosted on Instagram and Facebook  by The Bad Apple Artists Collective

These  Art challenges are a great way to create new work, I love to create new series for my collections of Limited Edition Prints, challenges are great to spice up your creativity and to work on your skills and habits to paint or drawing daily and to have ideas if you’re scared to the blank paper! 😉

Winter Wonderland 31 Days 31 Paintings Challenge is ending today December 31st!!!

Yesterday December 31st was last day of this lovely and fun challenge. I am glad I was able to finish on time all my 31 Winter Wonderland paintings I am just posting this on January 1st because I haven’t been at home but with family celebrating New Year’s Eve!

I painted on a small 3.5 x 5.5 inches mixed media sketchbook.

Winter Wonderland 31 Days 31 Paintings Challenge!!!

today was 30/31 Charlie’s  prompt list says  “SLIPPERS”  I am joining  doodlewash  

Today is day 30 wow one more day to go, I am so happy that between all the hustle and bustle of the Holidays I was able to manage to paint every day and met this month challenge! Now I have a lovely Winter Wonderland illustrated sketchbook and it can turn in so many beautiful things! For today painting prompt, I painted my own cozy slippers that I am wearing! Today we are having some rain here in Southern California, yesterday was very windy, here the weather change by the day but at least these last days temperature are a bit cooler which is great and I love to feel an appearance of Winter! ❤

I love icicles they have something magical, the see through the ice, the reflection with the sunlight, is amazing how the nature is able to shape icy forms on the trees or on everything that is captured inside during freezing temperatures in a icy snow storm!

today was 28/31 Charlie’s  prompt list says  “MITTENS”  I am joining  doodlewash  

Today my watercolor took two pages of my tiny sketchbook and my painting is in Manga/Anime Japanese Style. It is always lots of fun creating Manga, my girl is wearing some red mittens to keep her warm while wrapped in a blue cape!

This post is for the last three days watercolors. I made my paintings and had some busy time so I am posting all three together! Wow I can believe we’re almost at the end of December and at the end of the year!!! Soon 2017 is coming let’s see what new adventures the new year will bring! 😉
