I love to meet and interact with new artists sharing and their work of art and their beautiful words!

This month is about Music!

Today I am very pleased and honored to introduce you the first YesterdayAfter Featured of the Month and of the Year 2016 a great inspiring multi-talented Artist, writer and Music Composer from Edinburgh, Scotland UK based  James Radcliffe I discovered James beautiful, stunning music and writings when I started my Blog almost a year ago. His creativity and experimental work continually evolves inspired from everything. He strive in the authenticity of his creations, from the music to his writings and everything else he produce.  James has a great personality and kindly connect with his audience and I am very happy that we connected! His music inspires me as Artist during my own creations.

On his Blog you can read that James is “…a groundbreaking and radically independent: musician, writer, and spoken word artist” who has been performing live since the age of 8.

He writes, records, mixes, and masters all of his work from his home studio and has leveraged the power of the internet to build a worldwide grassroots audience on his own terms.  His music is now played and listened to around the world, his blog is read in 170+ countries, he has in excess of 65’000 fans on Twitter, and his latest release went straight to the #1 spot on Bandcamp.

“I’ve made music and art ever since I can remember.
It’s in my blood.
It’s like breathing for me; it’s my life.”

James Radcliffe

Why I make music…

I make music because……of the place that it comes from.  The state I am in when I am making it.  That place where time disappears and everything else dissolves.  The place where fierce joy rises up, unbidden, like golden light filling a well.

That is why I make music.

My Poem on Ink and Quill…

quill

Jennifer Calvert
is the wonderful writer behind Ink and Quill  she had a lovely and thoughtful idea, wanted to support the work of her fellow blogger with great appreciation sharing Poetry.  Few days ago she posted Share a Poem on Ink and Quill  having an enormous response.

The post was an invitation from Jennifer saying to “share a link here of your favourite poem/s, which you have written or a poem written by a fellow poet. Or both!

I did participate and left the link of one of my Poems. Today she reblogged  my Poem “Emotions”  with precious and beautiful words she honoured me and many others.

Carolina from Yesterday After, words flow and warm my soul, ‘floating like cluster clouds in a sky of darkness and light.’ ❤️

Emotions

emotions chained
to words untold
floating like cluster clouds
in a sky of darkness and light

the storm was approaching
lighting were striking the heart
like stones breaking glasses

like in a lost dance over fire
following the song of my thoughts
holding a flower to protect

a desperate search for
a peaceful and silent shelter to rest

pieces of me were left there
in the dark with a white flower to hold
looking for a raising sun…
