This week the Photo Challenge at The Daily Post is “Look Up” it’s all about spending some time during your day to look up and see what there is above you!
On the Daily Post I found these words to be very true in our busy daily life “Going about our day, we often don’t pay attention to what’s directly above us. We’re more likely to focus on what’s in front of us rather than what’s overhead”.
I am an artist and I love to look at the sky, the movement of the clouds, the changing lights and amazing colors during the day until the sunset. If you paint then you know that you will never look at the sky the same way you did before. During my day I always spend few minutes looking up! I find it to be very calming and I get great inspirations for my paintings and photography!
My Photo was taken during a hike and at sunset I was overwhelmed from such beauty all over above me!
Today I loved to paint a blue Hummingbird it is such a small and beautiful bird I see them every day just outside the backyard. I love to paint birds it bring so much happiness to see the bird you’re able to paint on paper! Today I am also joining Laura, that each month on the 8th she host the Draw a Bird Day on her beautiful blog at createarteveryday.com
‘Hummingbirds are New World birds that onstitute the family Trochilidae. They are among the smallest of birds, most species measuring in the 7.5–13 cm range”.Wikipedia

This is Day #7 of the World Watercolor Month today I was debating deciding what to paint. I also wanted to paint something different and combine a girl face with an animal, I love to do that lately. Today painting is titled “Girl With Koi” I love the Japanese Koi fish their colors are beautiful. I was inspired to combine a Koi and a colorful and glamourous girl together in a vortex of blue water.
” Koi or more specifically nishikigoi, are ornamental varieties of domesticated common carp that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor koi ponds or water gardens. Koi varieties are distinguished by coloration, patterning, and scalation. Wikipedia

Today I am sharing with you my New Digital Portrait!
James Graham is the singer of my favorite Scotland band The Twilight Sad their great and unique music and the beautiful photos of international Music Photographer Mauro Melis , inspired me on creating this new Digital Portrait in honor and to celebrate today James Birthday!
The Twilight Sad just ended two days ago in Miami their amazing and successful North American Tour as guest band opening for The Cure! I attended their amazing and unforgettable concert last May in Los Angeles and I was lucky to met James, if you haven’t you can read my Blog Post here.
This is a black and white with a hue of blue portrait in connection and symbiosis, reflecting James unique style and stage presence as mirror and shining light of The Twilight Sad music.
For this special portrait with the courtesy and kindness of Mauro Melis I was able to use some of his stunning photos from this Tour.
Today for my #NatureDoodlewash “hike” I enjoyed a walk on the beach ;-) it is very hot these days the beach seems to be the place to go. I am going to share my watercolor of some beautiful ocean treasures “Seashells”. I love everything that has to do with ocean you already know that by now! Seashells are fascinating to me , they are beautiful and great finds, I collect pieces of seashells and fossil seashells that I find in special places I go, or if they are interesting fragments. I use them for my one of a kind or limited edition jewelry that I create inspired by nature. I like to think that these seashells had a long life under water and that the ocean, wind and sand shaped them year after year. I enjoyed very much to paint these beauty.
