– Winter Wonderland – Day 7  RED BIRD

Winter Wonderland 31 Days 31 Painting Challenge!!!
Today following December  watercolor prompt list is “RED BIRD”  I am joining Charlie at  doodlewash for  this fun Adventure!

Today I have been thinking as referiment for my painting at the northern cardinal is a North American bird in the genus Cardinalis; it is also known colloquially as the redbird or common cardinal. Cardinal birds because the beautiful red color are very often used in Holidays and Christmas illustrations so here I am with mine! Also I don’t know if we still doing the #DrawABirdDay always on the 8th of the month, if we are then this painting goes for that too! 😉

Details about my watercolors:
watercolors are outlined with black, brown and white ink pens. I used  French Artists Watercolors  Sennelier  l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box  Ink pens used  Pigma Micron Black ink #02, brown #01, white Uni-ball Signo gel pen and a black ink  Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib . I painted on a small 3.5 x 5.5 inches mixed media sketchbook.

    1. Thank you Erika I appreciate your comment I like to use the same color palette when I am making collectibles series this is a Holiday-Christmas series where the paintings can be combined together and in that case there is a beautiful effect of continuity by colors and subjects ❤
