When souls connect…

Golden Aura
Today I would love to share with you a beautiful post from my lovely Blogger friend Allison at glorybegin.com

Yesterday she was celebrating her Blog Anniversary with this post she wrote:

{Podcast} The Single Most Killer Creative Skill I Mastered by Blogging

It is amazing how we all can connect our creative spirits and souls and be inspired from one another through Blogging! During my last 6 months, the journeys of my Blog YesterdayAfter.com I came across amazing people who inspire and enrich my soul on a daily basis. I got to connect with amazing creative souls around the worls that I would never had chance if wasn’t for my Blog. We all can relate with this beautiful Cosmic connection of our souls. Allison inspired me yesterday with her post, this is why I love Blogging,  while I was leaving her a comment, words just came to me at the point to create a Poem…her reaction touched my heart…because my words went straight to her heart and soul and this is all about when we are sharing Love we encourage, inspire, opens hearts, give happiness…

My comment to Allison post:
This is so beautiful Allison <3 Happy Anniversary! I am truly happy to be part of your journeys as you are part of mine, I love what you are doing and I truly love to hear your voice with your podcast, it is one of my dear places where I go when I need to hear enrichment for my soul, and a place where I can relax closing my eyes, listening to your beautiful words. I am agree with everything you just said in this post. I am an artist and creative soul which I express my creativity in many ways, willingly to reach the heart and souls deeply, with my creations of every kind and my greatest gift is when someone tells me, that got inspired by my art and me. I started my Blog 6 months ago I learned a lot too, and I love it so much to interact with other great souls around the world. I was afraid at first, I felt like I was just a drop in the ocean…and I would never be seen, but then one day I did my jump into the water and started to swim with passion giving out everything, my words, my art, my soul and letting go free. I had beautiful response and amazing people came to my way which I connect every day, including you!
After I listened to your Podcast today, I was inspired to write something for you in celebration.
This is for you with love and light:

Dear Allison
ray of beautiful light expanding through the universe,
filled with love and joy.
Expressing your inner soul to us
through your precious words,
how glowing is a creative way to spread love and light.
Opening your wings and letting go
your amazing truth of love flowing in the air,
and become one with our cosmos.
We all are one and truth with our creativity to be
spread from our hearts, like seeds in the wind
to reach unexpected and amazing places,
let go your seeds free…let go…let go…

Love
Carolina

Watercolors from Nature…

Flowers from Nature
NATURE it is so precious!

Today I will share how I painted those beautiful flowers using some of the most vibrant and pigmented colors found in “Nature”. I always like to experiment new ways to use colors. This time I wasn’t thinking to paint anything, I had no plan and no preparation it was late evening, but…when creativity strike you can’t miss the moment!
Few days ago I got some amazing “Dragon fruit” or also known as “Pitaya” it is a delicious and refreshing Tropical fruit that grows on several Cactus species and has great Health Benefits

Dragon Fruit

This fruit has beautiful colors on the outside skin, and rich magenta pigments inside or white.

Dragonfruit nature watercolor
The juice is a strong dye and it is perfect for painting, I used my 140 lb watercolor paper sketch book
and Aqua flo water filled brushes.

I then decided that I needed a touch of yellow to combine with the Magenta and paint more flowers.
For the yellow color I used another powerful natural pigment found in nature.  I used Turmeric powder.
tumeric 2
Turmeric it is a root spice used for cooking.  I wanted to try out Turmeric powder for painting from a long time.
The yellow color is very rich and beautiful, I mixed a dash of powder with water and I painted.

I am happy with the experiment of using natural pigments and how this little painting turned out.
If you paint I suggest you to try!

A great thanks to Mother Nature!

Illustration – Friends

Friends

Yesterday I wanted to use my new French Sennelier Watercolor!

So I needed to create something!

I love Illustration, and sometimes I like drawing cute characters a little bit out of my ordinary watercolor paintings and sketches. Creativity it is something that there are no words to describe it! Inspiration can come from anything and often start with something to ends with something totally different from what was inside your mind it is a very fascinating and abstract process, that’s how I call it! While I was thinking what to begin with to start my drawing, the word “Friends” came up to my mind I don’t know why, at the same time I was on my Pinterest pinning things for my boards and I came across some cute dolls. I was captured by their nice faces and big eyes and instantly I felt the wish to draw them. I quickly made my sketch, when the word “Friends” came back to mind again and that was it!!! It was perfect for my new illustration. I am going to dedicate this drawing to all the amazing Bloggers Friends I found here on WP community. :-)

Friends

Some technical details: I quickly sketched first with a pencil #2 HB few light lines just to give me an idea to the two figures and the flower. For this Illustration I was excited to use my new Sennelier watercolor. I love Sennellier their watercolors are beautiful and very pigmented rich and luminous honey-based. I purchased this metal travel box on Amazon it is small and easy to carry almost the size of an iPhone it can fit anywhere.

Sennelier Watercolors Travel BoxThis Watercolor set is inspired by the bright and lively palette of Southern France. Each set contains 12 half pans of top quality French Artists Watercolor and two built-in palettes within a compact and sturdy metal case. Reformulated with an increased honey content gives each watercolor incomparable brilliance and luminosity while acting as a preservative to extend the paints longevity.
I love the fluidity of the colors a little goes a long way. I am very happy how my illustration turned out. I gave the finish touch going over with a black ink Pigma Micron pen 0.3 to finish and shade.
