Today I like to share with you my new watercolor, I made it last night before go to bed and it made me happy. I love the white Dove is such a beautiful bird and it became a great symbol of love and peace. It is rare to see them but each time I see one flying in the sky I stop everything just to admire her beauty and feelings that she brings. Yesterday I was pinning on my boards on Pinterest and I came across a lovely photo of a Dove that inspired me to paint as soon I saw it. I had that urge to paint it right at that moment! If you paint or sketch or also if you write or create any kind of things then you know what that feeling is and means, it was just late before go to bed not really a time to paint but I didn’t wanted to miss that magic moment of inspiration that strike you unexpected so I did! I actually made it pretty quickly and I like it ;-) there is a beautiful quote that I want to share with you today and is from an Italian artist from Tuscany he was trained under the influence of Giotto is part of the Art history, long time ago we are talking of the year 1390! Is dear to me because is from an artist that contribute to the beautiful art in my native country Italy. But no matter the long time passed the words of this artist are very inspiring and motivating today! I wrote this quote on the first page of one of my sketchbooks I can read it all the time and will keep motivate and inspiring me.

Details about my doodlewash:
watercolor outlined with black ink pen. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box and Pigma Micron Black ink #01. Painted on watercolor paper Cold Press 140 lb fine grain size 7.5 x 9 inches!

This was the photo that inspired me I loved to see the movement of the flying Dove!

I am also joining Charlie at doodlewash for #WorldWatercolorGroup not following September theme list!

“Azur” a creature from a Mystic World!

Today I like to introduce you my latest watercolor painting and creation she is Azur a creature from a Mystic World, she comes from a place where everything is beautiful and peaceful like a dream. A place of art where creativity and fantasy lead the way to a life of freedom and happiness. Azur beside to be alive in a watercolor painting she could be the main character in an illustrated story or a beautiful character in a computer game or more… The beautiful part is… that she can be whatever I create her to be! ;-)

I often enjoy to paint completely out schemes and let my creativity flow like a river while holding my brushes and pens. I enjoy to create whimsical and ethereal faces or figures that seems to come out of a fairytale or dreamy world bringing happiness and joy.
This is Azur’s Mystic Portrait next would be nice to see her in full figure! What do you think? I love your comments <3

Music – 35 Minutes Live with “The Twilight Sad”

Today post is dedicated to Music!
I am sharing a great video featuring one of my favorite and inspiring bands from nowadays “The Twilight Sad” performing live on KEXP Seattle last March 2015. This is a wonderful live full performance to watch if you don’t know this band or if you want to know more about their great music. I love these guys they are humble, passionate in what they are doing and amazing!

Their music is unique and intense, they deliver great sounds and dark nostalgic atmospheres. It is a magical combination with the beautiful voice of charismatic and intense singer James Graham front man of Scottish post-punk band. At the moment The Twilight Sad are the “Special Guests” and opening band for the iconic “The Cure” on all the dates of their 2016 North American and European Tour. The Cure couldn’t make a better choice bringing The Twilight Sad out in the light for an exposure very well deserved. They are an outstanding band that is rising up in our contemporary music culture. Last May I was fortunate to be able to attend The Cure Concert in Los Angeles where The Twilight Sad opened with an awesome performance. I was also lucky and happy to meet James Graham in person ;-) If you haven’t, you can read my detailed post with photos and videos of my fantastic experience attending The Cure Concert at The Hollywood Bowl.
The North American Tour ended beautifully leaving amazing and unforgettable memories.

Right now The Twilight Sad will have two appearances in UK one on the 27 of August at the “Electric Fields Festival” and one September 10 at “Bestival“!
The European Tour start in October first date in Helsinki -Finland, check out all the Tour Dates. If you like this music don’t miss them live. ;-)

I just wanted to share this with my friends and because today it is also my Blog Anniversary on WordPress!

After I signed up on WP I had my Blog active but silent for about more than 2 years.F I have been without writing or posting anything but working behind the scenes!
First I wanted to reserve my domain name yesterdayafter.com since I love it a lot!

At the same time I was working on launching my Jewelry Design Collections, my Paintings, Digital Art, Poetry and all my creative work.
I was only working on the graphics and designs to customize the theme and layout of this Blog reflecting my own creativity. I wanted to launch it as soon I was ready, but no word was ever posted. Some life events also slowed down the process. Then only on March 2015, I decided to jump in and I made a very small first post announcing the opening of my Etsy Shop.

I felt like I was a tiny drop into the ocean of the Blogosphere, almost impossible to be seen in between the millions of other Blogs, I felt so little but I kept going!
And you great people started to discover my Blog! I was posting once in a while my Jewelry and Artworks and I got very nice feedback! As Artist I express my Art and creativity in different ways, my posts are not always about the same subject. I work with different media and my followers showed appreciation and love for my talents. I actually like the variety between all the things I love! I like to surprise you with the unexpected.

“A Tip” that I can give to new Bloggers that feel a bit lonely and in need of friends and followers is to be active!

When I started, after a month that I got to see how it was blogging, I decided to go around leaving comments on other Blogs, and not just stay here reading. I let people know how much I loved their work and they responded to me beautifully with kindred words and they discovered my Blog and Art and started to follow recognizing me with Awards. I felt very honored for such a beautiful recognitions. Right now I have become an “Award Free” Blog but I am always honored from your nominations and I will post your link in the Awards Page!

In May 2015 I also created my own Award to pass on “The Starlight Blogger Award” I launched this Award to highlight and Promote Inspiring Bloggers and I am so happy that the Award is going all over around the world! I see lots of Bloggers that link to me using this Award!

Last year I decided that I wanted to do something to give back to this beautiful Community and help to bring Blogs together I started my weekly Meet and Greet Event this year is named Meet and Greet Fridays! And Every month I choose to Feature one Blogger and Blog that I admire and I am Inspired from, introducing them to inspire others.

I felt very welcome here I discovered amazing Blogs and Bloggers that are beautiful friends and I also had the opportunity to meet some in person!

I also found an amazing Community of Artists that is very supportive and inspiring!

I am stunned and amazed about the fast growth it’s fascinating!
