Crystals
translucent surface
of an inner energy
powerful light
radiating rays of depth
in the history of nature
sun reflection and donation
of universal love
for the humanity to hold
a cosmic revelation
sometimes unknown
like puzzle pieces to find
within our soul
awareness will come
with perception and feelings
love is power
light will shine.

Today I went out for a coffee at Barnes and Nobles I like the book store. After walking around looking at books I got to sit down to relax while enjoying sipping my coffee and looking at some interesting art magazines. I got that moment called “Inspiration” it can come anytime and anything can trigger my creativity that’s why I always bring a sketchbook with me in my bag, in case I get inspired and feel to sketch or paint. I had a page in my sketchbook where few days ago I tested this Blue watercolor shade that I really like. I then started sketching this in “Surrealism Style” an Owl with antlers”. I quickly traced it with my Carmine Red pencil and I used over a Copic multiliner and a fountain pen Pilot Prera I like how it turned out a simple fast sketch can turn in perfection.

Work in progress on this photo I took the photo when I just started inking with the pen. This painting is another limited palette one color splashed on the page for background and the Ink sketch over it! A very fast sketch! Give it a try and if you do let me know!

Today watercolor painting is the portrait of “Blue” a lovely and delicate creature, she has beautiful and intense big blue eyes. When I painted Blue I was inspired by the unique and beautiful “Art Dolls” custom-made for collectors. Better known as “Blythe Dolls” they are really pretty and one of the characteristics is that they have an over sized head and large eyes over a smaller body, they are really cute. Blythe dolls acquired a cult following of collectors and eventually, photographers and artists around the world, you can read more about them here on Wikipedia.
My painting is another limited palette, only three colors Blue Ultramarine, Grey Payne and Vermilion Red.

Details about my watercolors:
This watercolor painting is outlined with black and white ink pens. Katie The Writer
Today post is about the story behind one of my latest watercolor painting. A commission work with the title of “Katie The Writer”. I really love to share the story because is a connection that has happened within our Community here on the Blogosphere. It’s beautiful how Bloggers can help each other and open doors. Something really nice happened to me at the end of the year, actually it was December 26, 2016. That morning I went to check my Blog messages as usual and between the comments I found a message from one of my dear followers Cyranny from the Blog Cyranny’s Cove, she mentioned to me that she had come across a post of another Blogger and while reading it Cyranny could only think about me . In her comment she left the mentioned post link.
I felt that was beautiful and very kind of her thinking of me. I headed to the Blog post which title was “Calling Out to all Artists!” the Blog is “The Life Of A Writer” and belong to Katie M. Dean. I didn’t know Katie and her Blog before and it was a nice discovery. In her post Katie was calling out to Artists because she had found a cute image that could represent her as writer, but she had a problem with something that she wanted different, Katie wanted the girl into the illustration to wear pants. :-)
This is the Image that started it all:

Well I left a comment to Katie, offering my artistic help to recreate something for her since I couldn’t modify a Copyrighted image. Soon we got connected via email and agreed to create a new watercolor painting representing Katie.
A commission work is always interesting for an artist and require some work in other directions than only paint. Since I had to customize and personalize what I would be painting, which is something existing, the life of a person, Katie is an aspiring young writer and not just something coming out of my creativity. I wanted to find all the elements to make my custom and personalized painting as close as possible to represent Katie fully. Including all the things she love, she believes and that she like. I went to read her Blog posts, her profiles, her social media presence, since we don’t know each other much we are new Blog friends. Something she told me, something I found out. Katie is a Christian, she play the Flute, she love coffee, she love to Write and two of her favorite characters are Yoda from “Star Wars” and Grumpy from “Snow White”, all these meaningful elements are included in my painting . My aim to create was to make Katie feel happy and recognize herself in the painting, nonetheless creating an inspiring and motivating image for her to see everyday, reminding who she is and what she wants in her future. I am so happy that Katie love the painting and that she feels that it’s her! She wrote a Blog post about this too <3 you can read it here and discover her lovely Blog!
I want to thanks so much Cyranny, because of her caring spirit and thinking of me she was able to connect Katie and me behind the creation of this painting. A special thanks goes to Katie for trust and supporting my Art. Thank you!
I hope that you enjoyed reading this story and feel inspired to help one another!
Have a great weekend <3

Dandelions Magic Wishes
Limited Palette, only two colors Blue Ultramarine and Grey Payne.
I loved to paint this Dandelions with such a limited palette of two colors, it is very challenging but I really love the result and the lightness that I was able to give to my painting. I usually paint with a very limited palette of no more than five/six colors I like to mix them and create my own.
The goal of working with a limited palette is to improve skills, gain more control and faster paintings I suggest everyone to give it a try. Also I did the drawing straight with the ink pen no pencil.
Details about my watercolors:
watercolors are outlined with black ink pens. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box Ink pens used a black ink Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib . I painted on a 8 x 11 inches mixed media sketchbook.

Today I like to share with you my new watercolor, I made it last night before go to bed and it made me happy! I love Owls I find them to be so beautiful there are many species and rare ones. Time ago I was pinning on my boards on Pinterest and I came across this amazing photo of a blue eyed half red Owl I don’t know what species is and if isn’t an edited photo I’ve heard that people do edit animals photos to change their colors, but whatever it is it looks amazingly beautiful and that inspired me to paint as soon I have seen it weeks ago. Last night finally I painted him thinking that today following our Community tradition here in our circle of friends artists it is the 8th of the month is #DrawABirdDay . Here below I will add the original photo that inspired my painting for you all to see this beauty!

Hello everyone I hope the New Year found you all well!
After I have painted daily for last 31 days and met my Challenge I wanted to take a short break to recharge but as you know I love to experiment new ways in my creativity and I love Digital Art so when I leave my brushes to rest, I love to work in digital. Today I wanted to share with you one of my latest Digital Art painting I made it yesterday. This digital painting is created out of the fusion of two of my original watercolor paintings that I made awhile ago, some of you may remember this Mermaid I painted in July Day 17 for #The WorldWatercolorMonth I also used another one of my paintings created in July month which is this one July Day 30 Fish and Bubbles
As you can see from my two paintings I have created one new. I gave it more color and depth and give it the feeling that the mermaid is under water! I think this digital watercolor turned out really nice I love the colors, shades and lighting that I was able to obtain. I did print it out on heavy weight watercolor paper just like my paintings and it looks fantastic! But this is my opinion! :-) What do you think? I really would like to know your insight!
Details about my original watercolor paintings:
watercolors are outlined with black ink pens. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box Ink pens used Pigma Micron Black ink #02 and a black ink Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib . I painted on a large 8.5 x 11 inches sketchbook.
Digital Art: my original watercolor paintings are edited with the latest version of Photoshop and other software to create the final digital painting.
