– Golden Evenings –
Day #12 World Watercolor Month 2017

Today prompt is “Golden Evenings” I painted a semi- abstract portrait in a soft and delicate color palette. The girl is looking dreamy at beauty of the sky and it is surrounded by golden spheres which they represent her dreams. The gold it is always difficult to photograph, so I took two photos, hopefully in the second one you can see the the gold sparkle! I haven’t used gold ink this time because I wanted obtain a almost transparent effect, not so bold for this I used the Japanese watercolors Kuretake Gansai the 36 color set which include some metallic. I am happy with the result I like the lightness of the gold and how the portrait turned out!
