Day #6 Entry double challenges Mabsdrawlloweenclub and Inktober is for the prompts “Black Lagoon and Sword“

Today painting is mainly inspired by the prompt from Mabsdrawlloweenclub which is “Black Lagoon” referred to Creature from the Black Lagoon a 1954 American black-and-white 3D monster horror film I honestly had to do my researches to know more about this old movie. I have then created my own character that you see in my painting. And the prompt for Inktober is Sword so I had to find a way to add a sword so I had my character carry it which I think did work out great for the combination of the two promps!

Details about my paintings:
My Ink drawing is outlined with ink pens. Pentel Pocket Brush black ink. Ink pens used COPIC Multiliner Black ink #03 and 05 . A Alvin Draft/Matic #03 Limited Edition Pink Mab Graves Pencil. A dash of watercolor I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle, Pentel Aqua Brush – I painted on Bee Paper for watercolor 140lb, 100% cotton, cold pressed, size 6×9 inches .

Day #6: Black Lagoon – Sword – Supplies Used

Today I wanted to post more photos, this one is to show you all my supplies for today painting! What you see in the picture it is everything I have used 3 different size and colors of Micron pens: Dark red 0.5 – Brown 0.1 – Black 0.5 – Sakura White Jelly Roll – Pilot Turquoise Precise V5 extra fine – Sennellier watercolors, Alvin Draftmatic pencil.

Day #6: Black Lagoon – Sword – Pencil Sketch

This is the photo of my starting pencil sketch just, that you can see a little of how my drawing progressed and turned in a watercolor, outlined ink painting! I hope that you enjoy to see this daily challenges and how prompts can inspire to create paintings that you never thought about it!
My first three paintings of this series are listed as Limited Edition Prints in two sizes on my Etsy Shop!

Today my illustration for Day #5 entry for my double challenge MabsDrawlloweenClub prompt is Grim Reaper and for Inktober prompt is Long!
I loved to create this one, including an unexpected character that we all pretty much love! I decided to extend the theme to our loved “Alice In Wonderland” with a quote into my drawing! I think she deserves to be included in our #drawlloween

Today painting wasn’t a easy one and surely a subject that I don’t usually paint, but that’s why these challenges are so interesting for your creativity because they push you to create out of your comfort zone! I never heard before about the Folklore of the “Mothman” I had to search about this legendary creature, so in end I had to combine the two prompts which seems to go pretty good together in my painting!

Winter Wonderland 31 Days 31 Paintings Challenge!!!

today was 28/31 Charlie’s prompt list says “MITTENS” I am joining doodlewash

Today my watercolor took two pages of my tiny sketchbook and my painting is in Manga/Anime Japanese Style. It is always lots of fun creating Manga, my girl is wearing some red mittens to keep her warm while wrapped in a blue cape!

Details about my watercolors:
watercolors are outlined with black and white ink pens. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box Ink pens used Pigma Micron Black ink #02, white Uni-ball Signo gel pen and a black ink Pilot Prera fountain pen fine nib . I painted on a small 3.5 x 5.5 inches mixed media sketchbook.

NEW 1st RELEASE!!!

1st Release of my Collectible InkTober Series is now available in Limited Edition!
From October 1st until the 31st I have been very busy and focused on creating non-stop and drawing daily, because I joined the Worldwide InkTober event.
This month has been amazing and crazy at the same time, is not easy to commit to a challenge like this, there is so much behind it, but I enjoyed every moment. I am proud that I was able to follow my path and complete the challenge with my 31 drawings in 31 days. These drawings are very detailed and take quite long time to have one finished. They are not the kind of sketches made in 20 minutes. The result and outcome of my intense work is a lovely creation. My character ©Ylia, that was born on October 1st 2016. I developed Ylia drawing after drawing while following the official 2016 InkTober prompt list. Each drawing illustrate a story based on the daily prompt words. I also wrote my own “Quotes” I wanted to turn each drawing in a positive message to share with the world. I want to thank everyone that followed this challenge and shared my journey. Thank you so much for all messages and the kind words of encouragement that I received every day, that was a huge help to keep me going! I have been receiving emails asking if after the Inktober my drawings would be available for sale. I then decided for now to launch this 1st exclusive Collectors Release of Fine Art Prints.
