When a Sketch turn Alive…
“AMONG NATURE” Jewelry Collection 2015
Jewelry Inspired by Nature
During the past days I have been thinking a variety of Artistic projects ideas and new experiments!
Today I like to share a Design that I created few months ago. I love the whole process to create a new design, from the starting idea, to the sketches, to the end. Every design it is a new challenge that I like to address at the best of my ability. Most of my designs are created with a combination of natural gemstones, metals, leather and more found natural elements. This way all my creations allow the possibility to combine and stack multiple jewels together.
This is my sketch that inspired a half heart shaped earrings, the wire has been forged and hammered to shape perfectly to my drawing. I used a round faceted Pink Quartz stone and a round Mother of Pearl bead and silver.
Silver or Copper wire are some of my usual metals to work with.
“LOVE” – Rose Quartz is a natural gemstone known as the Love Stone…
this beautiful crystal has natural healing power and emits strong vibrations of unconditional love. The energy that emits clear and purifies, opening the heart to promote love in any situations. I like Rose Quartz stones the lovely pale pink color and the translucent transparency inspire my designs creating jewelry that’s connects with the beautiful natural energy and vibrations of this stone.
This design was custom ordered from my client to match with this heart necklace I previously made for her, as you can see the idea of a half heart is a great match with this pendant.

Drawing Summer in my Sketch Book…
One afternoon during this week, I was in the drawing mode!
So I decided that since we are in the middle of Summer, I should be drawing something in my Sketch Book in regard to this beautiful and loved Season…bringing up happy feelings, relaxing time and lovely days on the beach…
This Sketch show I think pretty much what Summer can give us…the beautiful ocean, colorful flowers, sands and palms trees especially here where I am in California there are lots of palm trees not really on the beach but all over around!
To go a bit into the details, I quickly sketched first with a pencil few very light lines just to give me an idea. I rarely sketch anything when I work on my watercolor paintings. In this sketch I used watercolor pencils and then blended with Aqua Flow water brushes, the result turned out pretty nice! I went over with a black ink Pigma Micron pen 0.3 to finish.

A little girl drawing hearts…and a jewel…
Once upon a time…a beautiful little girl was learning how drawing hearts…
her hearts were so lovely and unique in shape ending with a happy swirl a detail that was giving the hearts a sense of character and uniqueness. This adorable little girl was about 4 years old when she started drawing hearts using pens, pencils, markers and watercolors making beautiful little paintings. She has been drawing her beautiful and recognizable hearts everywhere, in any ways and kinds. Time has passed and until today 7 years later, she still drawing the same adorable hearts. The little girl is grown in a beautiful teen she is 11 almost 12 years old right now, and I am her proud Mom. I always loved her beautiful hearts dedicated to me in her lovely cards year after year. I have been fascinated by her drawings at the point that I wanted to do something special. She inspired me to create a beautiful pendant and make it into a necklace that I named “Neriah’s Heart”
Neriah is my daughter name, and this new heart pendant is our new design, something we share together, it has a very special meaning to me. I love how it turned out that I want to share it with the world.
This necklace would be part of my “Among Nature” Collection it would be only produced as Custom Order and in Limited Edition for whom is interested, it can be purchased here or on my Etsy Shop.
This pendant is made out of 925 Sterling Silver wire or there is the option to be made with other metals like Copper or Silver plated copper. The natural gemstones I choose are Rose Quartz, Blue Quartz and Crystals, I like their meanings and powers combined together:
CALMING & HARMONIOUS
Blue Quartz purifies the mental, emotional and physical bodies. It helps calm the mind, allowing expression of the individuals will and assists in reaching out to others. It stimulates intuitive insight and enhances communication and creative expression.
LOVE AND PEACE
Rose Quartz promotes unconditional love, forgiveness, infinite peace and compassion. It creates harmony in relationships and teaches us about the true essence of love. It purifies and opens up the heart allowing us to express our emotions. It reduces stress and tension, allowing us to express love, sensitivity and compassion towards ourselves and others. Rose Quartz brings a deep inner healing, enhancing self love, self trust, self worth and self confidence. It can be used to attract love into your life and maintain happy loving relationships.
Gemstones can be changed on custom orders.
The necklace feature an adjustable leather cord. I will design different version of this necklace near soon…

Creativity and new designs
During this week I have been working on two beautiful custom orders!
I love the process to create a new design, from the starting idea, to the sketches to the end, every time it is a new challenge that I like to address at the best of my ability.
I had a request to design and create jewels matching with other designs I previously made. Most of my designs are created with a combination of gemstones, metals, leather and more natural elements. This way all my creations allow the possibility to combine and stack multiple jewels together.
I give my customers the ability to create time after time their on set. Each design is unique also when it is worn by itself.
My first request was for a pair of dangle earrings with Rose Quartz and Mother of Pearl matching with the Rose quartz heart necklace…

I love how my design turned out, the earrings are just like I had vision them in my mind.
