Today I came across the post of the weekly photo challenge at The Daily Postand also if this is the theme for last Wednesday April 19 and tomorrow would be a new theme, I still want to participate to this one, with one of my latest photo and share the beauty of nature with you all.
From The Daily Post: The theme for this week is “Earth” celebrating the Earth Day and our planet. This week, share an image that means “earth” to you — whether it’s a panorama of a landscape that takes your breath away, a close-up revealing a detail in nature, or another scene that honors the outdoors, we welcome your takes on the theme!
The photo I am sharing today is a beautiful Southern California sunset filled with lovely yellow flowers. I took this photo some days ago during my daily evening hike. I love my walk at sunset time it give me the opportunity to take beautiful photos of sunsets and fierce colored skies. California is a wonderful place for sunset photography no matter where you are if on the hills or near the ocean. This photo was taken on the hills of a trail I love to go. The nature here is beautiful lately especially after all the rain we had a month ago, everything turned out beautifully green a joy for the eyes since here often the hills looks yellow brownish and dry.
I enjoyed my walk a lot lately with these beautiful kind of evenings, but this week is already getting too warm and everything is already changing color.
When I took this photo, I really wanted to capture all the elements that makes our earth beautiful, the orange fierce sunset sky, the clouds, the land and the flowers. I almost felt I was creating one of my paintings, I had a clear idea of how I wanted the photo to be. To get this angle for my shot I had to almost laying on the ground! Turned out exactly what I’ve envisioned! I hope that you enjoy this portrait of nature as symbol of our precious Earth as much as I do.

My interview with Music Composer and independent Artist James Radcliffe.
I am so happy and grateful that I was able to do this Interview!
Today I am very pleased to introduce you with James Radcliffe a wonderful multi talented Artist, a dear friend from the music world and part of our community. James is an independent artist a music composer from the beautiful land of Scotland.
Thank you James for your precious time doing this interview with me. I love to give the opportunity to get to know you and your art.
Let’s start with the questions:
For the reader that doesn’t know you and your music, can you please introduce who is James Radcliffe?
I am an independent artist based in Edinburgh Scotland. I make music, I write, I take photographs and perform live. In the last 4 years or so, I have built a grassroots social media following in excess of 100’000 people. This is what allows me to make art as a living.
Your music has a very distinctive sound and style, when listening it brings you in far away places, almost out of this world. Can you describe your creative process and what prompt inspire you while creating? And how do you categorize your genre?
First, thank you very much, I take this as a great compliment. It is hard to nail down a creative process, as much of it is a mystery. I will say though, that there are two main phases: the creative phase and the craft phase. The work is usually born from a kind of state of mind which is outside of time, when I am fully absorbed. The craft is where I take the pieces of rock and polish them into something beautiful. I cycle back and forth between these two until the work is finished.
You just released your new beautiful and fantastic Album ” Murder The Impossible” can you tell us your feelings and meanings behind it?
Murder the Impossible was a collection of tracks that I worked on in a very specific way in the studio. It took me over a year to get them right. Each of the tracks was aimed at a specific feeling, for example, the first track ‘World Enough and Time’ was aimed at the feeling of ecstasy I get from truly great music. One of the reasons it took me so long, is because I played all the instruments, including the cello, and did all of the studio work.
Murder The Impossible is the 5th genre-defying release from James Radcliffe.
What is your creative Dream Project?
The thing that I am working on right now. One of the great things about being independent is that you get to choose exactly what you want to work on.
What is happening at the moment? Are you working on any new ideas? Do you have in plan for any live gig?
A lot of stuff is happening right now. I am generally always working, on new ideas and current work. I think I am going to do something quite exciting and new for my next project, which I may release quite soon. I am also playing with the idea of taking all my music off the internet.
Live performance will definitely be happening soon. And I am looking into touring options as we speak.
This question is very personal and introspective, I love to ask this to artists. If you describe or picture your inner soul, how will you describe it? And what color it would be?
Like a roiling ocean. And black. Black as strong coffee.

November Supermoon 2nd night photos with the Full Moon!
Yesterday night I had a second attempt to photograph the beautiful “Supermoon” yesterday was also the day of the “Full Moon”. Once again here in California the sky was beautiful and clear I am so glad. I have been lucky this month. Last October I remember that when we had full moon the sky was full of clouds, covering the moon and not a chance to take any photos. Yesterday and the night before photos turned out pretty well. I am really happy! There is a pretty good sharpness and definition on these photos, you can see the details and pretty much all the lunar craters. This moon shot was taken outside home around 6pm last night. I am amazed because I didn’t used a tripod! For whom interested I used my camera Nikon D3300 and a Telephoto zoom lens 70-300mm I don’t remember the settings because I did change several while shooting. The first photo in this post is barely edited, I only cropped to have a close up I see that there is a purple reflection on the top I don’t know what caused that maybe because I was holding the camera. Overall I am happy with it!
I also attempted with some help to get an artistic photo with me holding the moon in my hand! <3 I guess turned out great! I just had to edit this one a little to make sure that my profile is visible, because the photo was taken without flash in complete darkness, only with the moonlight that was very bright. This is an iPhone 6 photo and was taken yesterday on a nighttime hiking walk, I went to walk right after I took the moon shots.
I know that in several parts of the world this full moon wasn’t visible, cause clouds and weather. I am happy that I was able to witness and share this moment with you through my photography!
