Poetry – Crystals

Rose Quartz
Rose Quartz

Crystals

translucent surface
of an inner energy

powerful light
radiating rays of depth
in the history of nature

sun reflection and donation
of universal love
for the humanity to hold

a cosmic revelation
sometimes unknown
like puzzle pieces to find
within our soul

awareness will come
with perception and feelings
love is power
light will shine.

These beautiful Sunsets also inspired me to write a poem:

Overwhelming Beauty

The sunset light was approaching
the soft curved hills.
Evening was entering like a fierce painting
in the sky.

How amazing colors
in a new dimension that only
nature and someone above
has the power to create.

I felt that overwhelming presence
a strange feeling surrounded me,
all over like holding me
in a tight and breathtaking embrace

excitement and power for
something that I see unbelievable unreal
but truly real.

I am glad I was there
grabbing the drops of this
overwhelming beauty.

Wish you all a great weekend!

Visual Verse Published my short story!

This month I participate again to this interesting monthly writing event that brings together Art and Words on VisualVerse.org Anthology Press. I found it to be  very  challenging for me last month to write something inspired by a picture as starting point to a creative, timed, writing process.

The painting  that you see here above was the starting point image assigned this month by Visual Verse:

“we are connecting with Camden Art Collection in London to bring you your new writing prompt. In June, Camden Council will launch a new portal bringing their phenomenal collection to a public audience. We are thrilled to be able to share an image from this collection exclusively with you.
This painting is by Jean Cooke, an artist we love, who once said: “Everything that happens when I open my eyes [each morning] is a surprise. It’s like dying and coming alive again every day.” You’ll be able to view this image, along with other works from Camden’s extensive collection, at Swiss Cottage Library over the coming month.

From this picture I was inspired to write a short story  “Memories of Happiness

This short story is my second short story first published on Visual Verse and is not published here on my Blog yet.  I am very happy to share it with you as a nice achievement of my creative writing that now is part of this interesting Anthology and  published on:

Visual Verse  Anthology – Vol. 03 Chapter 08 –  “Memories of Happiness” page 56

Here I link the Archive with all the images and writings published until now!

I am happy that my writings are part of this Anthology,
I hope that you like my story please let me know what you think it means a lot to me.
I love your comments!

Visual Verse Image Starting Point

I am thrilled again!

This month I received an invitation to participate to this interesting Anthology of Art and Words on VisualVerse.org I found it to be  very interesting and challenging to write something inspired by a picture as starting point to a creative, timed, writing process. The antique image that you see here was the starting point to write in a limited time and words a poem or story.

Visual Verse gave these instructions:

Visual Verse An Anthology of Art and Words
One image, one hour, 50-500 words.
The picture is the starting point, the text is up to you.

“we present an image will surely prompt some challenging responses. Taken from a 17th Century text, it is an illustration by French artist Alain Manesson Malett of two women in Syria. The image invites questions about identity, perception and the assumptions we make about those who are different from ourselves. And being over 400 years old, this image also reminds us that our quest to understand each other, to accept and to be accepted is nothing new”

I have been staring at this image and I let my imagination fly for awhile. I wrote and submitted a short story  of 65 words  “Poignant Pondering”  is the title.
This short story is not published here on my Blog yet.  I am very happy to share it with you as a nice archivement of my creativity that now is part of this interesting Anthology and  published on:

Visual Verse  Anthology – Vol. 03 Chapter 07 –  Poignant Pondering #75 .

I link the Archive with all the images and writings published until now!

I hope that you like my short story please let me know what you think
I love your comments!

National Tell A Story Day

Peaceful
Peaceful – Original Watercolor ©Carolina Russo

Deep Water

Surrounded by the blue deepest water. The reflections of floating emotions, loaded the mind and body in a fearless state.Tranquillity and silence flying through the broken branches of a life experience, were glowing under the warm sunlight.
Suddenly warm rain drops of happiness joined the deep water becoming one.

A 50 Words Story ©Carolina Russo

Today for April Celebration is National Tell A Story Day!

I hope that you enjoyed to read my little story and that did bring you some good feelings and thoughts during this day or evening. I wanted to combine two of my artistic and creative way of expression, “Watercolors and Writing”. I wanted to share one of my 50 words stories “Deep Water” and illustrate it I with one of my watercolors that I painted few years ago for my mom.

National Tell a Story Day is observed in the United States each year on April 27th.
We are all encouraged to share all kinds of stories on National Tell a Story Day. Whether it’s read from a book, one from your imagination or an actual story from a childhood memory, April 27th is the day to gather friends and family and share those stories.

Details about my
doodlewash:
I used a basic watercolor palette Artist’s Loft Fundamental watercolor pan set  this pan set is considered for beginners but I enjoy it for the variety of colors and use it a lot for sketching. I also used a  Pigma Micron Black Ink pen #005 over a Watercolor Cold Press 140lb paper!

With this Celebration of National Tell A Story Day, I am also join Charlie at doodlewash celebrating a National or International Day with a doodlewash!  You are welcome to join with your doodlewash!  Tag your image #doodlewashaday.

I also like to thank Teresa Ronson for adding me in her list for this month participating to the #SelfieDay
