I haven’t made a new watercolor because I am still recovering from InkTober lol ;-) kidding! I love this one very much. I painted it on last July for the wonderful #WorldWatercolorMonth I remember that was a very loved painting. So I decided to repost it as much I wanted to paint a new one!
I was born in Italy how I cannot love coffee and cappuccino, nonetheless espresso and all the kinds! It’s always time for a cup of coffee! :-)
Today I had to celebrate while sipping a wonderful cup with all of you! <3
Details about my watercolors: watercolors are outlined with black , Blue, Brown and white ink pens. I used French Artists Watercolors Sennelier l’Aguarelle 12 demi-godets half-pans travel metal box and Pigma Micron Black ink #005 and Pentel Prera fountain pen fine nib I painted over a Mixed Media Sketchbook!

From the beginning of October I have been very busy creating and drawing daily, participating to the Worldwide InkTober event. But I also loved and found some time to create a watercolor Ink painting that is a collectible illustration, dedicated to The Twilight Sadamazing band from Scotland that I am a huge fan. My drawing is inspired by some of their images used on album covers. I just came out with my own creative interpretation and wanted to dedicate it to The Twilight Sad and to all the fans that love them and enjoy their music. They all know what this painting is all about.
Today October 27, 2016 I am going to “Release and Debut” this Painting here on my Blog and also debuted exclusively on Fans of The Twilight Sad Facebook Group.

Every October, artists all over the world take on the InkTober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

Illustrator Jake Parker is the creator of this great challenge and initiative started in October 2009. Jake created InkTober as a challenge to improve his inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. I am very excited this year to join Jake and participate to this great challenge with artists all over the world! I really would love to create all the 31 ink drawings. Last July I participated and completed my challenge for the “World Watercolor Month” 31 Paintings in 31 Days, very similar to InkTober. Tomorrow I am ready to start this new challenge with a new sketchbook, inks and my creativity. I will try to post my drawings daily and if happen that I am too busy to post it doesn’t means that I am not drawing then look for to the next day post. Be ready for my new InkTober Gallery.

Today I like to introduce you my latest watercolor painting and creation she is Azur a creature from a Mystic World, she comes from a place where everything is beautiful and peaceful like a dream. A place of art where creativity and fantasy lead the way to a life of freedom and happiness. Azur beside to be alive in a watercolor painting she could be the main character in an illustrated story or a beautiful character in a computer game or more… The beautiful part is… that she can be whatever I create her to be! ;-)
I often enjoy to paint completely out schemes and let my creativity flow like a river while holding my brushes and pens. I enjoy to create whimsical and ethereal faces or figures that seems to come out of a fairytale or dreamy world bringing happiness and joy.

For this rose lay on a table I I used colors that were already mixed on my tray and with that I was able to get this effect.

This post is for two days Day #26/31 of the World Watercolor Month Today painting is a Study of a Seahorse. I painted the same seahorse on two different papers one is on white paper with light washes of colors and outlined with a brown ink pen. The result is a delicate and ethereal Seahorse.
Day #27/31 Today to do something different for my study, I painted the same seahorse on a black paper. First I painted some of the background with rich pigmented colors. The effect change dramatically. This time after the background was dry I draw the seahorse with a white gel pen. And I really like how it looks!

This is Day #25/31 of the World Watercolor Month today I wanted to paint my watercolor on “Tomoe River” Paper a lightweight and ultra smooth paper from Japan. This is a very light weight paper only 52 gsm nothing like watercolor paper, it is so thin that is almost see through. This is a writers paper perfect for fountains pens and any kind of pens and pencils also markers because it doesn’t bleed through. The paper also holds beautifully light washes of watercolor. If you are familiar with the “Hobonichi Techo Planner” from Japan then you know that the amazing trendy planner that has followers all over the world is made out of this paper and is often used like an illustrated planner more like a sketchbook to illustrate the daily life! I love how the watercolor move freely and blend on the smooth magic thin paper. I painted these Poppy flowers straight with the watercolors without even trace them before. I also love the way the purple shadow turned out I outlined with the black ink pen but I wish I took a before picture it was beautiful also without the outline. I hope that you enjoyed my Day#25 in few hours I will post Day #26! <3
